Do you survey customers after closing a loan?

Do you survey customers after closing a loan?

By JC Kiadii, Internet Marketing for Mortgage Professionals

One of the projects I am working on for a mortgage marketing client is his post-closing survey. Properly designed surveys not only gather information you can use to improve your mortgage business operations, they also remind delighted clients to send you referrals. In addition, you can use testimonials you collect from you surveys in your marketing.

Here are some tips for successfully using surveys.

  • Keep them short and simple. Ask only the most important questions.
  • Make a commitment to get a completed survey from each borrower. As you chat at the closing table, let your client know they will receive a survey. Explain that feedback is a part of your customer service process, and ask for their feedback.
  • Make it easy for clients to respond. If you mail surveys, make sure to pay the return postage. Post a survey on your website, and email the link to your clients. Hire someone to conduct phone surveys, if necessary.

What questions do you include on your post-closing survey?
